John Snow, Inc., and its partner organization, the nonprofit JSI Research & Training Institute—both known as JSI—are public health consulting firms dedicated to improving and promoting public health in the United States and across the globe. JSI works across a full range of public and community health areas, strengthening health systems to improve services—and ultimately, people’s health.
JSI’s mission is to improve the health and well-being of underserved and vulnerable people and communities throughout the world, and to provide an environment where people of passion and commitment can pursue this cause.
JSI’s goal is to build local capacity to address critical health problems. JSI collaborates with local partners to assist countries, governments, communities, families, and individuals to develop their own skills and identify solutions that meet their public health needs. Through management assistance, education, information and training, JSI programs strive to improve access to and quality of health care to prevent illness and disease that impact people throughout their life span. JSI conducts research and provides technical assistance to enable agencies and health professionals to effectively and compassionately address the needs of families they serve, especially the poor and underserved.
Headquartered in Boston, MA, JSI has eight offices across the United States and works in 70 other countries around the world.
