Communicating for Change: SBCC and MARPs
According to the UNAIDS, populations most-at-risk (MARPs) for becoming infected with HIV include, men having sex with other men (MSM), commercial sex workers (CSWs) and their clients, injection drug users (IDU), orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) and prisoners. This group will provide opportunity for SBCC practitionners and professinals to exchange and share experiences about MARPs' issues , give and receive support, and learn and grow from each other's on-going work. We are hoping that the outcome of the discussions and exchanges will improve policies and programs that address MARPs' needs including access to culturally appropriate prevention, care and treatment services for MARPs and their families, supportive environment, discrimination and stigma reduction.
